Federal Government Contracting Information

(All information is provided by Ernise Cummings who has over 43 years of Federal Government Contracting experience. Currently, serves as a Small Business Administration (SBA) SCORE mentor, and the Founder/CEO of the non-profit Secret Miracles Inc.)

Are you an entrepreneur that has considered doing business with the Federal Government?

First, you must be aware of and understand what it takes to prepare and submit a quote/proposal for a Federal government contract, and the necessary steps it takes to get through the acquisition process.

So, before you even submit a quote/proposal, consider some critical facts…

  • Does your business understand the big picture?

  • Can your business commit time and staff to support the entire process?

  • Have you considered the risk involved?

  • Is this type of acquisition aligned with your business mission and model?

After pondering on the above queries and you know you are ready to start submitting quotes/proposals, the very next move you should make is to understand the step by step processes associated with Federal Government Contracting.

The Federal Government has many opportunities available, however, you must do your market research to learn what Federal Agencies are interested in your products or services. In addition, you should know and understand how much the Federal Agencies are spending on your particular products or services.

Did you know there are several "Free" support organizations and agencies who are in place to assist you with your quest to obtain a Federal Government Contract and help you navigate the Federal system. But, YOU HAVE TO PUT THE WORK IN.....

Now, if you are interested in learning more about the Federal Government Contracting system and would like a step by step guide, my "new book" "How to do Business with the Federal Government" will be coming out very soon.
